The US National Cancer Institute funds academic-industry partnerships to develop and validate imaging, data science and spectroscopic technologies for cancer detection, diagnosis and understanding, with grants up to 500,000 US dollars. Eligible applicants include non-profits, universities, small businesses, government agencies, tribal organizations, faith-based groups and foreign organizations, with applications due by 7 January 2027.

Through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), the National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to stimulate translation of scientific discoveries and engineering developments in imaging, data science and/or spectroscopic technologies into methods or tools that address contemporary problems in understanding the fundamental biology, potential risk of development, diagnosis, treatment, and/or disease status for cancer or other disease.
