Terms of service

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

FundingCalls (“the service”, “we”) is operated by [legal entity name, registration number and registered address to be confirmed]. These terms govern your use of the website, the API behind it, the email and Telegram digests and any paid plan. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind that organisation.

2. The service

We collect calls for proposals from public donor sources, normalise them into one record (donor, deadline, budget, countries, themes, eligibility text) and republish summaries and structured fields with a link to the donor's own page. With an account you can save searches, receive digests, describe your organisation in a profile, have every live call screened against that profile, and generate concept-note drafts.

Our data comes from third-party sources that change without notice. Deadlines, budgets and eligibility conditions are the donor's and can be wrong or out of date in our copy. Screening verdicts are automated assessments with a stated confidence; they are an aid, not a decision. You must read the original call before applying and you remain solely responsible for any application you submit.

3. Accounts

  • You need a valid email address and a password of at least ten characters. Keep the password private; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One person per account. A Pro plan allows up to ten organisation profiles under one account, for a consultant serving several clients.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the account page; section 8 of the privacy notice describes what is removed.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, bulk-download or resell the service's data, or use it to build a competing listing without written permission;
  • enter false organisational information to obtain verdicts, drafts or prices you are not entitled to, including a country of registration other than your own to obtain a lower purchasing-power price;
  • share one account between several people or organisations;
  • attempt to bypass rate limits, feature gates or security controls;
  • use the service to send unsolicited messages or in breach of any law that applies to you.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules, after notice where practical.

5. AI-generated content

Eligibility screening, plain-language summaries and concept-note drafts are produced with large language models from the call text and your profile. Every draft carries a disclosure line stating that it was produced with AI assistance. We show, where we know it, the donor's stated position on AI-assisted applications; some donors reject them and some require disclosure. It is your responsibility to check the donor's rules, to review and correct every statement in a draft, and to decide whether and how to disclose AI use. Drafts may contain errors, invented details or placeholders. You own the text you submit; we claim no rights in drafts generated for you.

6. Plans, prices and payment

  • The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (NGO, Pro) are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. We do not store card details.
  • NGO plan prices are adjusted to the purchasing power of the country of registration on your account, in groups based on the World Bank income classification. The list price and your group's price are shown on the pricing page before you pay.
  • Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from the account page; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law of your country requires it or the service was unavailable for a substantial part of the period.
  • Monthly quotas (screenings, drafts) reset on the first day of each calendar month in UTC and do not carry over.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the change applies from your next renewal.
  • Taxes: prices exclude VAT or similar taxes unless stated; where we must collect them they are added at checkout.

7. Intellectual property

Call texts belong to the donors that published them; we reproduce short excerpts and structured facts for the purpose of informing potential applicants, with attribution and a link. If you are a donor and want a call removed or corrected, write to the contact address below and we will act within five working days. The service's software, design and compiled database are ours; you may use them only through the service.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it; sources go offline, and we run maintenance. We may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw a feature that is a material part of a paid plan, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the remaining period.

9. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed deadlines, wrong eligibility verdicts, errors in drafts, lost funding opportunities or any indirect loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or gross negligence.

10. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that breach these terms or that have been inactive for 24 months, after notice to the account email.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [country and jurisdiction to be confirmed]. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply. We will try to resolve any dispute informally first; write to the contact address below.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date is acceptance. The version and date at the top tell you which text applies.
