DARPA's Defense Sciences Office funds innovative research projects that deliver revolutionary advances in science, devices or systems for US national security, excluding work that only improves existing practice. Applications from US universities, companies and government bodies are accepted on a rolling basis; the programme runs until 27 August 2027.

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office (DSO) is soliciting proposals which investigate innovative approaches that enable revolutionary advances in science, devices, or systems for national security applications. Specifically excluded is research that primarily results in evolutionary improvements to the existing state of practice.
