The US National Institutes of Health funds competing revision applications to expand existing research projects in human genome research, with applicants ranging from US government agencies and universities to non-profit organisations and small businesses, including foreign organisations. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) hereby notifies NIH award recipients that funds may be available for revision applications to support the expansion of existing projects and/or programs within the awarding IC identified in the competitive revision Notice of Special Interest (NOSI). Applications for Revisions will be evaluated for scientific and technical merit by (an) appropriate Scientific Review Group(s), in accordance with NIH peer review policy and procedures, using the stated review criteria. Only applications submitted in response to a NOSI published by an NIH Institute or Center will be allowed to apply to this NOFO.

Applicant types: Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized); Small businesses; Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities; City or township governments; Private institutions of higher education; Public and State controlled institutions of higher education; Independent school districts; Special district governments; Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments); County governments; Others (see text field entitled "Additional Information on Eligibility" for clarification); For profit organizations other than small businesses; State governments; Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Other Eligible Applicants include the following: Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions; Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISISs); Eligible Agencies of the Federal Government; Faith-based or Community-based Organizations; Hispanic-serving Institutions; Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (Other than Federally Recognized); Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations); Regional Organizations; Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs) ; U.S. Territory or Possession.
