Summary

EO contamination remains a serious threat to civilians, returnees, displaced populations and humanitarian and early recovery actors in Syria. Landmines, unexploded ordnance, abandoned explosive ordnance and other hazards restrict movement, prevent safe use of agricultural and residential land, and obstruct delivery of assistance and recovery interventions.

In Rural Damascus and Daraa, EO contamination affects agricultural areas, villages, access routes, irrigation corridors, grazing areas, damaged infrastructure and other locations prioritised through humanitarian and early recovery needs. The grant will support survey and clearance in support of food security, agricultural rehabilitation, urban renewal, livelihoods, durable solutions and safe access to services.

This CFP seeks an accredited non-governmental mine action organisation registered and authorised to operate in Syria to deliver survey, clearance/land release and EORE activities in close coordination with UNMAS, SNMAC, the HMA Sector, relevant authorities, UN Agencies, Funds and Programmes and other stakeholders.

The proposal must be submitted via UNOPS Grant+
